This seawall which starts from Bieungdo-dong, Gunsan-si to Daehang-ri, Byeonsan-myeon, Buan-gun, total 33.8 kilometers long, is a place of reclamation project that converts mud flat and seas into lands. It is completed in April, 27, 2010, As it is 1.4 km longer than existing the previous record holder(Zuiderzeewerken) in the Netherlands, which is 32.5 kilometers long, it was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records that longest seawall in the world.
